I’ll never be as good as the King himself, but I hope you enjoy it anyway. I didn’t put any me in this video. Why? Let’s just say I didn’t put my dancing in for a good reason.

***READ BEFORE WATCHING*** This tool-assisted speedrun, by Timo Taipaleenmäki (Shinryuu) and coauthored by TaoTao, pirohiko and FinalFighter aims to complete Rockman 2 (Mega Man 2) in as little time as possible. They do this by exploiting many tricks and glitches. A detailed description of what exactly is done in the run can be found here: tasvideos.org This run was made on an emulator, with slowdown, frame-by-frame shooting, savestates and re-records. It is NOT meant to show skill, but rather the game pushed to its limits. It is only supposed to provide entertainment. You must bear this in mind when watching this video, or any TAS, for that matter. Any anti-TAS comments (these include comments like “do it on a console, then I’ll be impressed”, “you suck for using an emulator”, “cheater”, etc) WILL be deleted on sight, and the poster will be permanently blocked from posting comments at any of my videos, or on my channel. Try to remember that speedruns and TASes are different. Speedruns aim to show how skilled the runner is, and TASes aim to provide an entertaining video for the viewer. There’s nothing more to it. “The Entertainer” is a 1902 classic piano rag written by Scott Joplin. One of the classics of ragtime, it returned to top international prominence as part of the ragtime revival in the 1970s, when it was used as the theme music for the 1973 Oscar-winning film The Sting. Composer and pianist Marvin Hamlisch’s adaptation reached #3 on the Billboard pop chart in 1974 and spent a week at #1 on the adult contemporary chart that same year. (Curiously, the film “The Sting” was set in the 1930s, a full generation after the end of ragtime’s mainstream popularity.)
